ABOUT ME

My overall field of research covers the spatial ecology of highly mobile vertebrates. During my PhD thesis, I mainly focussed on the ecological application of intrinsic biogeochemical markers on various fields such as the trophic ecology of seabirds and their long-distance migrations. During my postdoctoral studies, I went on to study the biogeography of several species of seabirds from a poorly studied habitat (the pelagic ecosystem) and how the environment and long-distance movements affect population dynamics of those seabirds. The knowledge and the technical skills I acquired throughout these studies, led me into the present question of how individual fitness influences the migratory decisions taken by long-distance migrants (i.e., seasonal impacts of carryover effects).
